Friday Night Services and Potluck Dinner at Christie Pits Park

Join us for Friday evening services in the park, followed by a three-table potluck.

Please bring a vegetarian dish to share (dairy and Kosher fish is fine), made with Kosher ingredients.

When you arrive, you will be asked to place your dish on one of three tables:
Table 1. Vegetarian food prepared in strictly kosher kitchens – all packaged/processed foods & drinks (incl. cheese & wine) have a hekhsher.
Table 2. Vegetarian food prepared in strictly vegetarian kitchens – no meat or fowl at all in the kitchen (kosher fish is ok)
Table 3. Vegetarian food prepared in omnivores’ kitchens – the specific food brought still needs to be vegetarian (kosher fish is ok), but the kitchen isn’t

Friday Night Services and Potluck Dinner

Annex Shul Friday nights are starting back up. Hooaray!
Join us this Friday for lively davening followed by our classic potluck.

Please bring a vegetarian dish to share (dairy and Kosher fish is fine), made with Kosher ingredients.

If you would prefer to contribute financially to a potluck dish that will be purchased you can send $18 here.

When you arrive, you will be asked to place your dish on one of three tables:

Shabbat on the Farm

Join Shoresh, Moishe House, Moishe Pod Toronto*, and Annex Shul at Bela Farm for a contemplative Shabbat and Tisha B’Av** experience. Come to spend two nights camping out, watch the sunset or sunrise, pray and meditate, learn about Tisha B’Av and hear the traditional chanting of Eicha, all while immersed in the beauty of rural Ontario.

*Moishe House is an international organization that supports peer-led community created by and for young adult Jews.

** Tisha B’Av is known as the saddest day in the Jewish calendar and commemorates many tragedies in Jewish history. Beginning on Saturday night (after Shabbat), we will delve into learning about the holiday and creating a contemplative spiritual space.
